Are your pieces food-safe?

Yes! All my pieces are glazed with food-safe, non-toxic glazes.

Can I put your pieces in the dishwasher and microwave?

Yes! Most of my pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe. Though i alway suggest hand-washing colorful ceramic pieces to they don't get the white haze you sometimes get with dishwashing - especially in areas where you have hard water.

If i buy more than one of the same type of piece will it be identical?

All my pieces are one-of-a-kind and hand-built or wheel thrown. The nature of handmade pieces means they will never be identical. Close - but not the same.

How do you decorate your pieces like that?

All of my highly decorative pieces are slip-trailed - meaning i take liquid clay or a product called underglaze, and with a small-tipped bottle i freehand draw my designs on each piece. For the coral inspired pieces, i layer and layer the drawing until it builds up to the height that i want. All the white, drawn, areas are then glazed separately so they are 100% food safe. That means that every design is drawn twice. Then I fill in the areas with the glazes chosen for that design.

 

Can I return something I purchased?

Unfortunately no. Only if the box arrives damaged and the piece inside is broken. Sorry.
